Career Guidance App Prototype being presented in Viet Nam
Hanoi, Viet Nam, July 9, 2020 - The prototype of the Career Guidance App being produced under the G20TS Project component in Viet Nam, was presented to relevant stakeholders in a working meeting. The initiative aims not only to provide users with a lifelong opportunity to understand their skills and the available opportunities in the labour market, but also supports enrolment in TVET institutions and universities in a quicker and more effective way.

Through the mobile application, which will soon be available for download for Android and iOS systems, users will be allowed to create an account using their email or telephone number. This in order to being able to use the multiple-choice tests, developed by the Career Guidance and Counselling Working Group under the Project. The tests are designed to help users understand their interests, aptitudes and potential to succeed in the Labour Market. After undertaking the mobile test, the App will send a notice to the email of the users indicating their results and advising on career alternatives. Users are invited to maintain their account and come back to re-take the tests in the future if they wish to re-assess their skills, in cases where they are looking for a career change or find themselves in any type of labour market transition period.

The mobile application is also expected to provide students with enough information to understand the world of the work and with the tools to prepare a career plan by and for themselves.

The App will be soon launched out in Google Store and Apple Store for all the free users, the expected launch date is currently mid-August 2020.
