The national dialogue was held in Berlin organized jointly by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Laour and the ILO Bonn Office. The meeting was attended by the Parliamentary Secretary of State, representatives from Government, business, trade unions, academic institutions and NGOs. The programme was structured in three sessions;

a) Globalization and its impact on employment and taxation in Germany

b) Globalization and global social guidelines (core labour standards, social standards, development policy, role of multinational enterprises and corporate social responsibility)

c) Globalization and public goods (what are global public goods, role of political leaders, private sector and civil society).
