ILO Sustainable Development and Decent Work Solution Forum, 1 November 2016

The ILO will hold a South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) Solution Forum on The Future of Work at the Global South-South Development Expo 2016. The objectives is to assist participants in accessing tools and method to implement South-South and triangular cooperation projects.

Building on past successes and driven by the strong desire of the international community to continue to share South-South development solutions, the GSSD Expo 2016 will support the scaling up of tested and effective Southern solutions to deepen the development impact of South-South cooperation.

The Expo will be hosted by the Government of the United Arab Emirates, through its Zayed International Foundation, with full participation by the UN system, non-state development partners, including philanthropic organizations, the private sector and civil society organizations. This year’s Expo will present various models, approaches and tools in South-South cooperation and triangular cooperation that will help the global South realize its shared aspiration to achieve sustainable and equitable development through the share and transfer of Southern home-grown development solutions.

The event will also feature last year's Nobel Peace Prize winners, the "Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet", in a session entitled "Good Practice in Social Dialogue and Algerian SSTC cooperation". This will address social dialogue and social protection.
