The ILO Thematic Solution Forum will showcase development solutions relevant to employment for young people and women in the framework of South-South and Triangular cooperation. This includes presentations on results and on scalable southern development solutions aimed at ensuring that employment, decent work, and social inclusion for youth and women are integral parts of any sustainable development strategy. It will also focus on skills and education policies to facilitate job transition and improve employability, including equitable outcomes for women, girls, youth and vulnerable groups. The aim is to build partnerships to tackle the youth employment crisis.
The Solution Forum will be conducted in an interactive manner, combining presentations on various development solutions by technical experts on youth and women's employment in a three-hour session.
The moderator will summarize the discussion and provide closing remarks, suggesting recommendations on how to strengthen regional policy coherence to promote youth employment, for example, through awareness raising, vocational training, and pilot projects for the transfer of knowledge on employability strategies. The summary report with recommendations will be available after the Forum to all participants and on the web.
