  1. Contribution

    Kuwait gives US$ 1,000,000 to the ILO in support of its work to promote decent work in Arab States

    The Government of Kuwait today contributed US$ 1,000,000 to the ILO’s Regular Budget Supplementary Account (RBSA), becoming the first donor country from the Arab region to contribute to the RBSA. The RBSA is an innovative funding mechanism providing additional support in a more flexible and predictable way. This allows the ILO and its constituents to promote decent work for more women and men.

    The First African Decent Work Symposium “Recovering from the crisis: the implementation of the Global Jobs Pact in Africa” opened in Ouagadougou on 1 December with three heads of state and ministers of labour and finance and representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations from more than 45 African countries.
