Small enterprise development is at the heart of the ILO Decent Work Agenda, which hinges on job creation, rights at work, social protection and social dialogue. It links with the Sustainable Development Goals, which put decent jobs at the centre of economic policy-making and development.
MSMEs are growth engineering as well as second largest employer in India. The ILO through its KOICA funded initiative ‘Promoting Sustainable Enterprises in India (PSEI)’ is supporting in boosting the MSME ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha for growth of new entrepreneurs, and improved performance of MSMEs to catalyse their integration in value chain. The video shows various interventions of ILO, including entrepreneurship trainings among youths, especially women using ILO SIYB training tool; and improvement of productivity and working conditions in MSMEs using ILO SCORE training tool.
