ASEAN: Human resources development and international competitiveness
As international competitiveness is closely related to the quality of the human resources in the country, it is not surprising that all the ASEAN countries are giving the highest priority to their human resources development (education and training) programmes. In recent years either implemented comprehensive reforms in education and training system or are considering such reforms.
The report aim to examine through country case studies prepared by national experts the changes and reforms adopted by the ASEAN countries and to identify to the extent possible, the underlying reasons for adopting them.
