Post-crisis response
Increasing public confidence and participation in support of the implementation of the Bangsamoro peace agreement: Final project fact sheet
The International Labour Organization (ILO) has been involved in the response effort, co-leading the livelihood cluster with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), looking to provide emergency employment for those who have been displaced (particularly young men and women), and ensuring that assistance rendered is sustainable and promotes decent work through access to minimum wage, social security, health insurance and occupational health and safety.
The aims to increase the resilience of affected internally displaced persons through sustainable jobs by providing skills and entrepreneurship training and facilitating job placement and start of self-employed businesses. It also aims to strengthen the peace process in Zamboanga City by facilitating an enabling environment for dialogue between participants, beneficiaries and institutional entities.
