Statement | Manila, Philippines | 08 March 2023
The International Labour Organization (ILO) promotes a better future of work for all.

We collaborate with the government, workers, employers, development partners, the UN and partners to advance social justice and decent work.

Through innovation, digitalization and use of technology, we have trained youth, women and migrant workers on web development, call centre training and baking to help them advance their careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

We have provided skills upgrading and inclusive lifelong learning mechanisms for women in construction, digitalization and in-demand skills, while promoting effective labour market information.

Government officials use labour migration data more ethically and gender-responsively while migrant workers and advocates are better aware of data privacy and digital rights. We have enabled women migrant workers enter the digital economy through data annotation skills. This is also part of ending violence, promoting fair recruitment and ensuring safe and fair migration.

We have promoted digitalization in training enterprises and boosting their productivity as well as protecting women through occupational safety and health and gender equality, especially the most vulnerable such as migrant workers and those in the rural sectors and informal economy.

By doing all these, we promote DigitALL and ensure a better future of work with people at the centre through gender equality, social justice and decent work.
