Workers and producers in the informal economy: A global perspective and the ILO recommendation

The webinar aims to contribute to the objective of creating an enabling environment for the empowerment of women, this time focusing on a disadvantaged group, workers in the informal economy, including homebased workers. It covered issues pertaining to social protection, adequate earnings, decent working time, and equal opportunity and treatment in employment, all of which will address livelihood and basic needs concerns.

The University of the Philippines Public Administration Research and Extension Services Foundation, Inc. (UPPAF) organized the webinar, with grant from United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Regulatory Reform Support Program for National Development (RESPOND).
