Community Emergency Employment Programme distribution of wages and benefits in Maguindanao
Beneficiaries of the Community Emergency Employment Programme (CEEP) in Maguindanao receive wages and benefits under the ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
The ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project and the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) distribute wages and benefits in Maguindanao under the Community Emergency Employment Programme (CEEP). Under the programme, 225 CEEP workers receive their wages and benefits along with 40 Special Programme for Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiaries of MOLE. CEEP covers the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Minister Romeo Sema of MOLE led the ceremonies with beneficiaries from Parang, Buldon, Barira and Sultan Mastura in Maguindanao. He urged everyone to unite and support the current BARMM government to build a better future for the next generations of Bangsamoro.
Designated Bangsamoro Director General and currently standing CEEP Regional Coordinator, Engineer Dong Ayanatin joined Minister Sema. Parang Mayor Kahar Ibay and his Vice Mayor Adnan Biruar also attended the event, and expressed their support.
MOLE implemented the CEEP under the ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project, with funding from the Government of Japan to reach out to workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, mostly those in the informal economy. It was successfully initiated in BARMM, and will become part of the government’s regular programme this year.
