The ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project and the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) distribute wages and benefits under the Community Emergency Employment Programme (CEEP). Under the programme, 625 CEEP workers receive their wages and benefits along with 175 Special Programme for Employment of Students (SPES) and 172 Government Internship Programme (GIP) beneficiaries of MOLE.

MOLE Minister Romeo Sema leads the distribution of wages and benefits to workers under the CEEP.
Minister Romeo Sema of MOLE led the ceremonies with beneficiaries from 63 barangays of North Cotabato in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). In his message Minister Sema shared new events including the Bangsamoro Administrative Code, which will guide the Bangsamoro government and the programmes of MOLE this 2021.

Minister Sema reminded them to take care and enjoy the result of sacrifice of mujahideens. Mr Jabin Guiabar, one of the administrators of the 63 barangays of North Cotabato witnessed the event. He extended his gratitude and support to the programme in the 63 barangays with the help of the BARMM government.

Workers under the CEEP receive their wages and benefits.
MOLE implemented the CEEP under the ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project, with funding from the Government of Japan to reach out to workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, mostly those in the informal economy. It was successfully initiated in BARMM, and will become part of the government’s regular programme this year.
