The Elimination of Child Labour and Promotion of Decent Work in the Stora Enso Value Chain, with a Focus on Pakistan (Project fact sheet)

In order to strengthen its global policy and efforts to promote decent work and progressively eliminate child labour in its value chain in Pakistan, Stora Enso (SE) entered a public-private partnership agreement with the ILO.

The ILO and Stora Enso, a leading global provider of renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wood and paper, have entered into a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). It has global and Pakistan specific local components. Under the global component of the partnership, ILO is expected to provide technical support to Stora Enso to strengthen its policies and due diligence processes on child labour and other labour rights. The local specific component aims to promote decent work and combat child labour in the value chain of Bulleh Shah Packaging (BSP), Stora Enso’s joint venture in Pakistan.
