The Baluchistan cabinet has approved the bonded labour and forced labour bills, calling for the prevention and protection of the victims of bonded and child labourers and also for prosecution of the offenders. The ILO Country office in Pakistan has been providing related technical assistance to the tripartite constituents in Baluchistan through its project ‘Sustaining Strengthened National Capacities to Improve International Labour Standards Compliance and Reporting in Relevant EU Trading Partners’ funded by the European Union.
