South-South Cooperation: Strategies for accelerating the Pace of Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour

Development objective

Contribute to accelerate the pace of reduction of child labour and the achievement of targets of the elimination of the worst forms of child labor by 2016 and all forms of child labor by 2020, through the exchange of experiences between Brazil and the participating countries in the III Global Conference on Child Labour on the adopted and planned strategies on the prevention and elimination of child labour.

Immediate objectives 

  1. At the end of the project, technical information and best practices to guide the implementation of the goals and child labor elimination commitments, particularly in its worst forms have been made available to the national and international community.
  2. At the end of the project, will have been created a national and international environment conducive to accelerating the global pace of reduction of child labour and the implementation of the III Global Conference on Child Labour through South-South Cooperation.
  3. At the end of the project, the policy of prevention and eradication of child labour have been improved, responding to the new socio-economic context of the country, and its innovative elements systematized and disseminated under the framework of the South-South cooperation.
