Brazilian Minister of Labour and Indian Minister of Labour hold up a Red Card to child labour

The Brazilian Minister of Labour, Mr. Carlos Lupi, and Indian Minister of Labour, Mr. Oscar Fernandes, hold up a red card to child labour and announce South-South cooperation to combat child labour, particularly its worst forms.

Children's Solidarity Event for the World Day Against Child Labour 2008, Switzerland

In Geneva, the ILO marked the World Day Against Child Labour 2008 with a plenary session of the International Labour Conference and a children's solidarity event organised jointly with the Geneva based community organisation "Le respect, ça change la vie" and the City of Geneva in Place des Nations. 600 hundred school children from Geneva and neighbouring France gathered in front of the UN to ask all Member States to take action to end child labour.
