Training on Improving Business Skill and Vocational Orientation for Invalid People in Cooperatives in Cao Bang Province

This training is disseminated at the commune level for different groups of disabled people and entrepreneurs in cooperative sectors to set up and develop their existing business.

One of the PROPEL Viet Nam aims is providing support to the Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) to conduct Community-Based Enterprise Development (CBED) trainings to entrepreneurs with disabilities and persons with disabilities to promote the disability inclusion of persons with disabilities in mainstream entrepreneurship and employment services.

Given the above, a CBED training for trainers (TOT) and 4 CBED trainings with aims to improve skills of small-scaled entrepreneurs to link their products and services into local and global value chains and enhance their workplace practices delivered to VCA members in areas of Hanoi, Thai Nguyen and Cao Bang provinces with resources support from the Inclusion Consultancy Center (ICC)/DPO Hanoi from September to October 2015.

In additional, these trainings provides facilitating skills on business through an innovative tool that relies on self-facilitation and social learning techniques for core members from disabled people’s organizations and the VCAs or current entrepreneurs then later they can provide CBED trainings confidently to others in their communities; helped current entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs with disabilities improve their businesses by using the knowledge, techniques and guidance already possess; and promoted entrepreneurship, develop business and reflect the diversity of enterprises, therefore creating jobs and reducing poverty, especially to women and men with disabilities in Viet Nam.
