International Youth Day 2018 celebration: GET TOGETHER!

The celebration is jointly organized by the UNWGAY, Youth Union, Institute of Blood and Blood transfusion of Ministry of Health, The Light Center, a local NGO, working in reproductive health care and National University of Economy.

Objective

To organize a public event where everyone, especially youth can get together to celebrate the International Youth Day 2018 and voluntarily participate in community development activities in a safe and friendly space.

Content

An open space for a truly youthful and informal celebration of the 2018 International Youth Day with pop culture performances for youth and by youth and encouraging their expression of opinions on social and development issues e.g. gender equality, environment, etc. The youth performances can be delivered in different formats of dancing, music, play and drama, etc.

The celebration will be started from the afternoon of August 10. An area of youth fairs to display youth works to promote start-up, youth entrepreneurs and organization will be led by Youth volunteer network of National University of Economy.

Institute of Blood and Blood transfusion of Ministry of Health will support youth voluntary blood donation, contributing to the community development.

Light center will provide general consultation on health, sexual and reproductive health, and HIV prevention for young people.

A communication corner will display audio- visual media productions on youth development of youth led initiatives and projects. Interactive public survey on youth understanding about youth challenges and policies also be organized during the event.

In the evening at the same day, there will be the official part of the celebration, followed by the youth cultural performance.
