World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2017

Photo exhibition: The workplace we want

The voice of young Vietnamese workers introduced through a photo exhibition by photographers Nguyen Viet Thanh and Maxime Fossat

Every 15 seconds, in the world, a worker dies from a work-related accident or disease.

Every 15 seconds, 153 workers have a work-related accident.

Young workers aged 15-24 are the most vulnerable to occupational safety and health (OSH) issues because they lack awareness, training and work experience, supervision and mentorship, representation or empowerment.

On the World Day for Safety and Health at Work (28 April) and the first national OSH month (May 2017), the International Labour Organization and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs would like to introduce the voice of young workers through photos taken by Vietnamese photographer Nguyen Viet Thanh and French photographer Maxime Fossat.
