Launch the Labour Inspection Campaign aimed at further enhancing corporate social responsibility and improving conditions of work at the electronics enterprises

This year, MOLISA in partnership with the workers' (VGCL) and employers' organizations (VCCI) will be launching a labour inspection campaign with an aim to raising the awareness of corporate social responsibility and improving labour law compliance among the electronics enterprises.

2017 marks the third awareness raising campaign organized by MOLISA Inspectorate targeting direct sectoral interventions. The last two years aimed at the garment sector in 2015 and construction sector in 2016 respectively. The campaign will start with a high-profile tripartite consultation between the labour inspectorate and workers' and employers' organizations to discuss and to agree on a joint strategy to promote labour law compliance among the electronics enterprises and then follow with a training workshop for key labour inspectors from 10 selected provinces and cities. Findings of a compliance mapping exercise report have also been shared with all concerned stakeholders earlier.
