Knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) survey about child labour

In order to develop the awareness raising strategies and campaigns, a baseline knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) survey concerning child labor will be conducted at the beginning of the implementation of the ENHANCE Project and repeated by the end of the Project to measure the changes in the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the project target groups at the result of the intervention.

Objective

  • Assess national and provincial policy makers as well as media personnel on their knowledge, attitudes and practices and advocacy action on the issue of child labor, associated hazards and legal prohibition.
  • Assess local authorities, mass and social organizations, workers and employers’ knowledge, attitudes and practices of the issue of child labor, associated hazards and legal prohibition.
  • Assess the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices of community people including parents, school teachers and children towards the issue relating to child labor, associated hazards and legal prohibition.
  • Identify key barriers to behaviors/ attitudinal changes toward prevention and elimination of child labor.
  • Identify media usage and information sharing norms among targeted groups for the development of national and locality appropriate advocacy and awareness raising channels.
