HANOI (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) is cooperating with the Thomson Reuters Foundation and the Academy for Journalism and Communication to organize a workshop on reporting labour migration for Vietnamese journalists in November-December.

The workshop will be kicked-off with a three-day online training from 9 to 11 November, followed by a one-day refresher offline session in Hanoi in December.

It will provide participants with journalism skills on story structure, sourcing, news worthiness and ethical reporting by one of the world’s leading media agencies.

The workshop will include a mixture of interactive sessions, presentations from guest speakers and practical exercises. The participants will receive hands-on training from Reuters journalists with a focus on producing quality stories reflecting Vietnamese migrant workers experiences.

This is the first collaboration between the ILO and the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Application deadline is midnight 4 November.
