HANOI (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) is cooperating with the Thomson Reuters Foundation and the Academy for Journalism and Communication to organize a workshop on reporting labour migration for Vietnamese journalists in December.

The workshop will be kicked-off with a two-day training in Hanoi on 17-18 December, followed by a one-day follow-up session in January.

It will provide participants with journalism skills on story structure, sourcing, news worthiness and ethical reporting by one of the world’s leading media agencies.

The workshop will include a mixture of interactive sessions, presentations from guest speakers and practical exercises. The participants will receive hands-on training from Reuters journalists with a focus on producing quality stories reflecting Vietnamese migrant workers experiences.

This is the first collaboration between the ILO and the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Application deadline is midnight 15 December.
