National press awards on preventing child labour call for submissions until 31 August

The final results will be announced in the third quarter of 2019.

HANOI (ILO News) – Journalists can now submit their work to the national press awards on preventing child labour by 31 August 2019.

The prize is an initiative of the Viet Nam Journalists Association, the Child Affairs Department under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Viet Nam. It aims to encourage journalism of high quality in raising public awareness and mobilizing the participation of the society in the fight against child labour in Viet Nam.

Each participant (as individual or group) can submit up to five stories to ptc.vja@gmail.com.

The awards will be given in one first prize (VND20 million in cash), two second prizes (VND10 million each), three third prizes (VND5 million each) and five encouragement prizes (VND3 million each).

The final results will be announced in the third quarter of 2019.
