Successful approaches to manage occupational safety and health in small and micro- enterprises

The general objective of the course is to facilitate the knowledge and skills on some selected best practices in the promotion and management of occupational safety and health (OSH) in small and micro- enterprises (SMEs). Deadline for applications: 27 May 2011

OBJECTIVES
This course aims at strengthening the capacity to develop sustainable practices to manage the OSH in SMEs. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the ILO experience for the improvement of working and OSH conditions in SMEs;
- Analyze different approaches and strategies for the improvement of working and OSH conditions, with the effective participation of employers and workers;
- Explain the key points to prepare, implement and monitor an intervention to improve OSH in the SMEs;
- Establish conclusions and recommendations on the feasibility of applying different analyzed strategies to their contexts;
- Transfer knowledge on different approaches for the improvement of working and OSH conditions.
