Global Development Goals: Partnerships in Progress

Making decent work and inclusive growth a reality

Meaningful, fair-paid and safe jobs should be at the heart of an inclusive, equitable and sustainable development agenda says ILO Director-General Guy Ryder in its contribution to the 2nd edition of UNA's report on the post-2015 development framework the "Global Development Goals" (p.68).

As the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has presented his synthesis report on the post-2015 development agenda, proposing an integrated set of six essential elements: dignity; people; prosperity; planet; justice; and partnership, the United Nations Association highlights the 2nd edition of its report on the post-2015 development framework: 'Global Development Goals: Partnerships in Progress'.

The United Nations Association (UNA-UK) features recommendations by over 50 contributors from the UN system, government, business and civil society and focuses on financing, delivering results, data collection, sharing knowledge and widening the participation. Together, the articles provide a source of ideas, practical actions, analysis and case studies on the partnerships and programmes needed to create a development agenda that is truly shared, in terms of both responsibilities and benefits.
