Iskandar Kholov Profile

Iskandar Kholov is working as a Technical Officer in the Labour Migration Branch since April 2019. In this position, he conducts research on skills and labour migration and assists in the quantitative analysis of labour migration statistics. He joined the ILO as a Junior Professional Officer in the Sectoral Policies Department in 2016, where he worked on social, economic and environment issues in global supply chains and in the shipbuilding and repair, shipbreaking, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, including for tripartite and sectoral meetings.

Before joining the ILO, he worked in various capacities in the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in Tajikistan on issues related to food security, radicalisation, access to justice and social development. He also managed a legal aid project in a local NGO, briefly worked for UNHCR in Iraq, and completed an internship at UNECE in Geneva.

Iskandar Kholov holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the Université de Bordeaux and a Diploma of Economist from the Tajik State University of Commerce.
