Jackie Pollock Profile

Jackie Pollock is the Technical Officer for the Labour Migration projects at the ILO Yangon. In this role, she works on legal and policy development, assisting with capacity building activities, and managing activities aimed at providing direct support to potential and returning migrants and their families from Myanmar.

Prior to this role, Jackie was the Director of MAP Foundation, a Thai NGO working to promote the rights of migrant workers from Myanmar in Thailand. She was also the Chairperson of the Mekong Migration Network. In addition, Jackie worked with empower foundation when it was first established in Bangkok in 1985 and later as Field Coordinator in the Chiang Mai branch. She has worked as a consultant with the UN Task Forces against human trafficking in the Mekong region and in Nepal and has contributed to journals, research and books on migration, trafficking, labour and gender issues.

Jackie holds a BA Honours degree from the University of Sussex, UK.
