National Program Officer, Labour Migration and Human Trafficking

Olufeyisayo joined the ILO’s Office for The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and ECOWAS Liaison Offices as the Project Officer for the Support to Free Movement of Persons and Migration in West Africa based in Abuja. Currently working on Counter Trafficking and Labour Migration components of the ECOWAS Migration project, she also supports the Office as Monitoring and Evaluation focal point. In this capacity, she is primarily provides technical support to the UN Nigeria’s Program Management Team and M& E Group.

Prior to joining the ILO, Olufeyisayo worked as Resident Technical Advisor for the Coalitions for Change’s Climate Change Project. She has over 13 years’ experience in social development, environment management with a national and international institutions. She has managed several partnerships, including the Nigerian Climate Action Network, Corporate Partnerships for the Red Cross and Murtala Muhammed Foundation’s Computer Aid Partnerships with State Governments in Nigeria. As the Senior Programme Officer at the International Centre for Energy Environment and Development, she served on the National Steering committee for the development of Nigeria’s National Adaptation Strategy and Plan of Action on Climate Change submitted to UNFCCC. She has experience in project management, resource mobilization, grant making as well as monitoring and evaluation.

Olufeyisayo Ilesanmi is a LEAD Fellow. She has a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems and Bachelors in Geology.
