Migrant workers: responsible recruitment & fair hiring to combat human trafficking in South Asia

The Institute for Human Rights and Business and Verité organize a multi-stakeholder roundtable to explore the challenges, risks and human rights responsibilities around recruiting Indian, Bangladeshi and Nepali migrant workers for overseas employment, and ensuring responsible practice to combat human trafficking.

From the ILO, Mrs Beate Andrees will facilitate a session on "The Response of Private Employment Agencies", and Mr Coen Kompier will provide a presentation on "International labour standards to combat forced labour and trafficking for labour exploitation; regulatory frameworks in South Asia".
