News | 28 September 2023
Two room documents, one on cooperatives and another one on the social and solidarity economy, will be discussed on October 16, 2023 at the 21st International Conference of Labour Statisticians (ICLS) in Geneva. The ICLS, held every five years since 1923, celebrates its centenary this year. It is the main forum for labour statistics where Member States discuss relevant recommendations, resolutions and standards and decide on measures to be undertaken. The two room documents 14 and 15 that will be discussed next month are titled: Measuring cooperatives: A progress update on the ILO Pilot study on the applicability and implementation of the Guidelines concerning statistics of cooperatives in five countries; and Measuring the social and solidarity economy (SSE): A roadmap towards Guidelines concerning statistics of the SSE.
