ILOSTAT is hosted by the ILO Department of Statistics, the focal point to the UN for labour statistics.

We are the custodian agency for 14 SDG labour market related indicators.

Standards

We set international standards for labour statistics through the International Conference of Labour Statisticians (ICLS). This implies engaging actively in survey testing projects to develop evidence on producing high quality data for priority topics in the world of work.

Data

We compile and produce labour statistics, with the goal of disseminating internationally-comparable datasets through a variety of data tools.

Capacity building

We provide technical cooperation, assistance and training in labour statistics. Our aim is to support ILO member States with the implementation of international statistical standards, data production, analysis and dissemination.

Our goals

We aim to:

What we stand by

Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics

As Director-General of the ILO, I would like to express our full commitment to the compliance with those Principles as stated in https://unstats.un.org/unsd/dnss/gp/FP-New-E.pdf

The ILO's adherence to those principles is fully in line with the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the "Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics" in 2014.
