On 19 November 2019, Uzbekistan deposited with the ILO the instruments of ratification of two Governance Conventions, the Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81) and the Labour Inspection (Agriculture) Convention, 1969 (No. 129).

Uzbekistan is the 148th member State of the ILO to have ratified the Convention No. 81 and the 54th to have ratified the Convention No. 129. Both Conventions will enter into force for Uzbekistan on 19 November 2020, one year after their ratification.

After the ratification of the Tripartite Consultation (International Labour Standards) Convention, 1976 (No. 144) and the Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labour Convention, 1930 earlier this year, Uzbekistan renews its contribution to the ILO Centenary Ratification Campaign, being one of the 66 countries with new ratifications or with instruments entering into force in 2019.
