The information session will provide a general update on progress in integrating the Decent Work Agenda into a post-2015 sustainable development framework, as well as an overview of the Group of Friends initiative. This Ambassadorial Group will gather regularly over the coming months around major United Nations meetings, with the aim of mobilizing and coordinating political and technical support to promote employment, social protection and decent work as top priorities in the forthcoming negotiations of the post-2015 development agenda.
The information session will be chaired by His Excellency, Ambassador Apolinário Jorge Correia of Angola, Chairperson of the Governing Body, who will be joined by His Excellency, Ambassador Bertrand de Crombrugghe of Belgium.
