Training Workshop on Tourism Value Chain Analysis & Development

This is the opportunity to provide the participants with main contents and concept of the value-chain development (VCD) methodology reflecting ILO’s Decent Work agenda. During the training, it is expected that relevant stakeholders work actively in general discussion, group discussions and provide useful comments as well as to propose an action plan from field work analysis.

The training workshop on Tourism Value Chain Analysis & Development is organized by the ILO Project on Strengthening of Inland Tourism in Quang Nam province. The training brings together around 40 members from 3 Working Groups with manager and officials from Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Labor, Invalid and Social Affairs, Department of Industry and Trade, Woman Union, Youth Union, Vocational Training Centers, the provincial Labour Confederation, Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Agency, Cooperative Alliance; and representatives from local hotels, resorts, and travel agencies.

The training is delivered by Mr. Gemunu Wijesena, a Local Economic Development expert with years of practical experience of managing projects in this field and the Vietnamese consultants with excellent knowledge of the tourism industry and its stakeholders, both private and public, practical hands-on experience with Tourism Value Chain Analysis & Development.
