World Employment and Social Outlook (WESO) 2017

ILO flagship report to focus on sustainable enterprises and job creation in SMEs

GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to publish its flagship report World Employment and Social Outlook 2017 (WESO) – Sustainable Enterprises and Jobs.

The new report will be released on Monday, 9 October at 20.00 GMT. It will provide figures and analysis on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and especially focus on job creation in SMEs over the last two decades.

The WESO 2017 also looks at how investing in workers and innovation in these enterprises while boosting trade and social dialogue can stem rising global unemployment.

The report and all associated material and information are under strict embargo until 20:00 GMT (22:00 CET time) on Monday, 9 October.
