World Employment and Social Outlook - Trends 2016
Comparing participation rates across the world
Globally, there are over 2 billion working-age people who are not participating in the labour market. Some 26 million joined these ranks in 2015. Only developing economies are expected to experience stable labour force participation rates, whereas developed and emerging economies are likely to experience further declines in activity rates.
