ILO to launch new report on Spain in Madrid

GENEVA/MADRID – The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to launch a report titled “Spain: Growing with Jobs” on Monday, 29 September in Madrid.

The new study presents a series of measures to stimulate much needed job creation in Spain amid some signs of economic recovery.

It is embargoed until 14:30 Madrid time (12:30 GMT) on Monday, 29 September.

The report will be launched officially during a high-level conference to be held on 29 September at the Economic and Social Council of Spain (CES) in Madrid. ILO Director-General Guy Ryder will attend the Conference. The Spanish minister for Employment and Social Security, Ms Fátima Báñez García, is also expected to participate as well as representatives of the world of work and partner organizations.
