More than 1000 participants in representation of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela attended the Congress. A special session was dedicated to Labour Inspection. In this panel, Dr. G. Casale (Director, LAB/ADMIN) gave a presentation on the recent trends and issues in labour inspection based on the recent report prepared for the 2011 June Conference. This gave an opportunity to the Congress' participants to familiarise on the contents of the forthcoming general ILC discussion on labour administration and labour inspection, an area of growing interest in the region.
