Sixteen experts worldwide representing national labour inspectorates and the International Association of Labour Inspectors debated certain elements of Recommendation 20, which are not included in Convention 81 and 129 and are consistent with a modern regulatory approach to labour inspection.
This meeting is a follow up to the Governing Body’s request related to the results of the fourth meeting of the Standards Review Mechanism (SRM) Tripartite Working Group (TWG) to withdraw Recommendation 20 by 2022.
