i-eval Flash News, No. 36 - Aug/Sept 2022

The 36th edition of i-eval Flash news highlights new developments since our last newsletter this past April. It starts off with some reflections by the Director of ILO's Evaluation Office on results-based management. As has been the practice, the newsletter provides an update on completed and planned studies, such as a synthesis review of the ILO's employment interventions, and an ex-post quality review of impact evaluations - to name a few. It also customarily highlights regional and departmental evaluation perspectives: the International Labour Standards Department (NORMES) reflects on what evaluations tell us about how ILO's development cooperation can help fill normative gaps. Africa shares valuable insights on building capacity and learning from evaluation activities in the Africa region with particular focus on the ONEILO in Ethiopia cluster evaluation. The newsletter concludes by illustrating upcoming learning activities, events and more.
