Trade and Employment: Research

ILO research on globalization and labour markets aims at providing reliable and high-quality information to policy makers and other stakeholders. Research in the Trade and Employment Programme covers global and country level analyses and is based on both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. It benefits from the Programme’s strong links with academia and research arms of other national and international institutions. The Programme's work has recently focused on assessing the employment effects of trade and on examining the interactions between labour market, trade and FDI policies.
