Planning for Sustainability
The sustainability of SIYB refers to its continued implementation in a country beyond ILO or other external support. For SIYB, there are three areas of sustainability that are of key importance:
Institutional sustainability relates to the legitimacy and management capacity of training providers
Technical sustainability related to the maintenance and improvement of the quality of the training programmes, including relevant training materials, proper selection of training providers and regular update of their capacity to train end-beneficiaries.
Financial sustainability refers to the capacity of training providers to recover their training costs. This is important at all system levels (Master Trainers and Trainers).
