The ILO’s Impact Insurance capacity building initiative
Despite growing knowledge on inclusive insurance, many insurers and distributors struggle to offer insurance products that are viable for them and valuable for consumers. Recognizing these gaps, the ILO’s Impact Insurance capacity building initiative works at the local, regional and global level to translate knowledge into practical solutions and to develop the skills of providers, distributors and others in offering impact insurance.
At the local and regional level, we partner with training institutes that benefit from our capacity building package to offer inclusive insurance content to their market. At the global level, we offer two flagship programmes - the face-to-face Impact Insurance Academy and the e-learning Insurance for Development – bringing together stakeholders from all over the world to discuss ways to further develop inclusive insurance. Our integrated capacity-building approach ensures that efforts are self-sustaining and create lasting change.
