To share the Indian Experience and the 2 decent work areas they have prioritised: ESAF addressing formalisation of its informal clients and BASIX improving the productivity of agri and diary clients through better occupational safety and health conditions.

The ILO-SFU is organising a Knowledge sharing workshop, sharing the Indian experience on the Microfinance for Decent Work: Enhancing the impact of microfinance on formalisation and productivity. The workshop will be held on Friday, the 04 Dec 2015 at the IHC, New Delhi. The workshop focuses on the experiences of the two Indian Partners and the two Decent Work Areas they have prioritised – ESAF, addressing formalisation of its informal clients; and the BASIX improving the productivity of agri and diary clients through better occupational safety and health conditions. The objective of the workshop is to share knowledge about the findings of the overall MF4DW experience in facilitating formalisation and enhancing productivity of their clients. Shed light and recognize the Indian partners and their innovations. Promote the “Microfinance +” model to networks and financial institutions. It will also explore initial idea of the Ministry of Labour of a larger experiment or any policy interest. It also aims to discuss the way forward to address gaps and challenges, in an effort to enhance the impact of microfinance on formalisation and productivity.
