Strengthening Support for Trade Through Decent Work

ILO and UNCTAD organized a session to present the findings of the ILO- UNCTAD report “Enhancing the contribution of export processing zones to SDG 8, decent work and economic growth” and discuss the implications for government policies and practices impacting decent work in EPZs. Torres, Counsellor, Development Division of the WTO development agenda; Bostjan Skalar, CEO, World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) and AKhamati Mugalla, Executive Secretary, East African Trade Union Confederation (EATUC). Githa Roelans, Head of the Multinational Enterprises and Enterprise Engagement Unit, facilitated the discussion.
