    This five-day course will help investment promotion agencies to strengthen their investment promotion and facilitation capacities, expand their after-care services and, more broadly, enhance the development impacts of FDI flowing into their countries, particularly as regards the creation of more and better jobs. The course is run jointly by WAIPA (World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).

  3. Energy transition: Perspectives and opportunities for the world of work

    10 June - 14 May 2019

    This course will provide a conceptual framework for the creation of more and better jobs through the transition to sustainable and clean energy. It will equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of the employment creation potential and the skills required for a transition to sustainable and clean energy and the skills required, as well as concrete strategies for decent work promotion in the sector, from both public and private-sector perspectives. This will include the sharing of national experiences and approaches to managing sustainable energy transitions in rural and urban areas.

  1. Promoting a just transition to low-carbon and climate-resilient development

    13 - 17 May 2019

    This course seeks to strengthen institutional and individual capacities to support a just transition to environmentally sustainable economies and societies. Participants will acquire knowledge and tools to help them understand the sustainable development framework, in particular the link between environmental challenges and the world of work. It will focus on the ILO Guidelines for a Just Transition: a framework and practical tool for tackling the employment and social dimensions of sustainable development, climate change and other environmental challenges.

  2. Multinational enterprises, development and decent work: the approach of the MNE Declaration

    13 - 17 May 2019

    This five-day course will look at how governments, enterprises and the social partners are encouraged to each put policies in place and engage with each other through dialogue to maximize the positive contribution of multinational enterprises to socio economic development and decent work.

  3. ILO Entrepreneurship Trainers Academy

    The Academy offers participants the opportunity to become certified trainers in some of the key ILO entrepreneurship training packages. It also offers a new certification track on financial education.

    Como indica el título, la sesión pretende, primero de todo, evaluar la situación de los empleos verdes en América Latina. En segundo lugar, se proponen como herramientas para la Transición Justa (i) la metodología desarrollada por GAIN para cuantificar el efecto de políticas verdes en el empleo, y (ii) el papel de la cooperación Sur-Sur Triangular. Finalmente, el Webinar contará con un período de 10/15 minutos dedicado a preguntas y respuestas.

The training course is based on the DCED framework to design and implement PSD interventions in a conflict-sensitive way, and understand the linkages and contribution of PSD to all aspects of peacebuilding and development.
