Please note that the flag state is monitoring the situation carefully, and in contact with ship owners on daily basis to settle all outstanding wages. We had a long meeting last week with the owners to explain to them the consequences of delayed salary payment. The owners provided us with a detailed payment schedule were they have pledged to pay all outstanding wages for all the crew (on all their vessels) by mid of May. They have already made December payment yesterday and will be making further payments (of Jan , Fab and March salaries) throughout this month.
We consider this matter very serious and are working very hard to get it resolved.
