Commentaires et observations: | Fed. int. des ouvriers du transport (ITF) (30 novembre 2021) Assault occurred on board on 15 November. Master is reported to have assaulted 3rd Engineer severely enough to require hospital treatment and stitches. Prior crew report food quantity and quality issues have persisted for several months. Additional crew member reported to have died in service 2 months prior.
Organisation maritime internationale (22 décembre 2021) I also duly note the information that was initially provided by ITF that the master is reported to have assaulted the 3rd Engineer severely enough to require hospital treatment and stitches on 15 November 2021. Furthermore it was reported that food quantity and quality issues have persisted for several months and also, most disturbingly, that an additional crew member was reported to have died in service 2 months prior. Therefore, it would be good to have any further updates on this case as soon as possible.
Gouv. de Saint-Kitts-et-Nevis (22 décembre 2021) From Saint Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis High Commission The Monarch Countess called into Haiti and has remained there since. The St Kitts and Nevis International Ship Registry are working with the technical bodies to get the vessel technically safe to sail to the USA. It is envisaged that once the vessel arrives in the USA, all monetary matters will be closed out.
