For guidance and clarification and with reference to the insurer named on the abandonment report, the Shipowner Mutual Syndicate Limited is not a member of the International Group nor does it have any connection to the Shipowner’s Protection and Indemnity Association, which is an IG member. We felt it necessary to provide this clarification in case recipients of this email assumed that the insurer named on the abandonment report is associated with the International Group.
