Comments and Observations: | Govt. of Saint Kitts and Nevis (2 July 2021) From International Ship Registry This Administration wishes to advise all parties that the subject vessel is not known nor hold any registration with Saint Kitts and Nevis. Furthermore, the Government of Saint Christopher and Nevis prohibits the registration of Fishing Vessels. If the crew of the below vessel is presenting documents claiming to be registered with Saint Kitts and Nevis, the undersigned will request a copy of any documentation. Additionally, it may be accurate to hold a suspicion of false/unauthentic documents.
International Maritime Organisation (3 July 2021) In an earlier message to Mr. Liam Ryan of the Saint Kitts and Nevis International Shipping Registry on 3 July 2021, in which you were also included, I explained that the only fishing vessel (Fish Catching) on IMO GISIS having the name ‘GEORGIY’ is a fishing vessel with IMO number 7831903 (not 9645968 that is our mistake) with registration in Saint Kitts and Nevis. However, the vessel was broken up in 2012. Meanwhile, we did some further research and found out that there actually exists a fishing vessel with the name ‘GEORGIY’, which is abandoned in Freetown, Sierra Leone since 2 June 2021 having on board 4 seafarers from Russian Federation and Ukraine, has the following details: MMSI: 272530000 (no IMO number) Call Sign: UUEH Flag: Ukraine [UA]
Other (9 July 2021) From IGP&I I can report that there is no fishing vessel named GEORGIY under any of the International Group P&I Clubs.
